Hello and thank you for visiting our GoFundMe page! We are raising funds for the Garell Family: Andrew, Promise, and baby Paxton. Promise was born with a congenital heart defect that has caused many medical and physical challenges throughout her life. Andrew and Promise never thought they would be able to conceive due to Promise's medical conditions. However, they and our families were pleasantly surprised to find out Promise was pregnant in December 2021.   Promise experienced many medical complications over the course of her pregnancy and ended up giving birth to Paxton 3 months early on June 8th, 2022. She was in the hospital for 1 month for her own recovery and an additional month while Paxton was in the NICU. Promise only got to spend 3 weeks in the comfort of her home with her new, little family before being readmitted back into the hospital for cardiogenic shock, causing her vital organs to begin shutting down.  Promise's cardiologist recently life flighted her from Duke University in North Carolina to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, so she could receive advanced help preparing for her heart transplant. The Garell Family resides in Virginia Beach, VA, as Andrew is active duty in the United States Navy and stationed in Norfolk. Promise's medical complications have prevented her from returning to work and her transition to Florida will create additional expenses for their family, including travel and lodging, items for baby Paxton, and medical related needs. We are kindly requesting donations to assist The Garell Family during this difficult time to prevent any financial burdens or additional stresses.   We thank you for any donation you can make and sharing our GoFundMe link with your friends and families. No amount is too small and is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
